Generic PSU PSU figures are exaggerated, and generics are not very effective and easy to fry, with the team in this process. The rated power of the processor are much more efficient and their number is not as exaggerated. They also have safety mechanisms to prevent voltage spikes, or a similar occurrence of frying your computer.
PSU is not strictly necessary, but it is certainly recommended.
